My neighbor

        His name is Oliver...
                                        .... a sweet, friendly kitty...........
.... that I met along the way.

The first day of the rest of my life....with my new camera!

This is the first photo I took with my new Canon EOS Xsi.  It was love at first sight.

old Florida history

It took 10 years of absence for me to realize the beauty in the thick history of the fort.

On the prowl

People aren't the only ones enjoying the sun in rainy Florida.

A day at the prairie.

The sun fought through long enough to warm the ground. It seems like everything was hungry for a moment in the sun, I was lucky enough to be in a lovely place when everything got to shine.
Nature's interpretation of fireworks.  These bursts of pink were everywhere on the prairie.

These two have found some summer love.

Dogs on Thursday

I told him once he wasn't allowed to lay on the couch.  I really should have been more specific.

Make a Wish

I believe in wishing.  My wish came true on this weekend.  It was the best birthday I had ever had.

Backyard Treasures

I found all sorts of jewels in my yard this weekend.  I hadn't realized the extent of my riches.

The Unstoppable Force

Given enough time mother nature will reclaim what is hers.

A Moonlit Walk

We started with the sun low in the sky.  We ended with the path illuminated by candlelight and fireflies.

The Road Not Taken

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Speak of the devil and the devil shall appear.

Meet Belly. He's a plotter, a schemer, a devil in disguise. He'll wake us a the crack of dawn just for fun. He begs to come in the back door just to run to front demanding to be let out again. He torments Ludo. He'll love you, but not without a finely sharpened claw in your skin. He does give surprisingly good kisses though, but at times it feels more like a "tasting". Beware world it's only a matter of time before he grows dull with us and he comes for all of you.

weeping Willow

She's not as despondent as she looks, I promise.  Meryl Streep eat your heart out.

My boy

Ludo then (2007) and now.  He has the biggest heart of anyone I have met in this life.

introductions

My love, my friend, my beating heart. My husband.  I would follow him anywhere, even into the vast unknown...
