Wow! What sort of bug is that?? I've never seen one like it - or a black caterpillar, either! Where on earth do you live?

I think the first is an assassin bug. I will try to find out what kind of caterpillar it is. For as much as I love bugs I don't know much. Sorry. Oh and I live in Gainesville, Fl. We have lots of crazy bugs.
